MACKEREL PRESS


Mackerel Press was founded by Lewis Dohren; an established designer and writer from Liverpool, UK. He first launched his design studio in 2016, specialising in music, art and culture and in 2017, relocated to Berlin. Two years later, published his first collection of poems and short stories titled “The Casserole of Nonsense.

Lewis returned to Liverpool in 2019 and in 2021, he completed the renovation of a famous street in Liverpool where the Beatles’ George Harrison was born. He travelled through Europe and Africa in 2022 and was later awarded a literary residency in Lisbon where he completed the work for his second book, Mackerel.

He is now based in Glasgow, where he continues to work alongside global artists and musicians at Ibiza Rocks and Pikes.
